We work diligently through the following steps to ensure a seamless hiring process for you.

Step 1: Application/Initial Call

Once we have received your online inquiry form, one of our Client Service Directors will reach out to you within 24hrs. We will discuss your initial interest and set up a convenient time for a 1hr in-person or phone consultation (according to your availability and preference)

Step 2: Consultation

During the consultation, we will discuss your family’s unique needs and understand what you are looking for in your perfect nanny. We will also take time to discuss with you salary and benefits, current market conditions, labor laws and hiring guidelines. We work at your pace to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied throughout the process.

Step 3: Candidate Placement

After our consultation, Bay Area Sitters will get to work on providing you with potential candidates that meet your family’s requirements. We will work together to narrow down your selection and at this stage, you will also have the option to conduct a working interview with your preferred candidate. Though not obligatory, we do recommend this so that once your nanny officially starts, you have already worked out initial questions/concerns and you can hit the ground running.

All of our nannies are Experienced, CPR Certified, TrustLine Registered and Interviewed in person. We are also proud to have partnered with industry leading background check organization, PFC Information Services, to provide detailed and thorough background checks.

Step 4: Hire

Your selected candidate will be screened, reference checked and background checked. We will then work with you to extend an offer of employment. We can also assist in creating custom employee/employer contracts so that you have a clear working agreement for both parties.
